To me, nothing says “happiness” quite like a dog hanging its head out the car window. Photographed along the along the coast of Maine (I snapped the pictures from the vantage point of the front passenger seat, the backseat, or even the sunroof of each dog owner’s car), these images give me an instant emotional pick-me-up. Much of the work I produce as a photographer can be quite technical and can be interpreted in any number of ways, so I like that this series has a straightforward purpose: to make the viewer smile, laugh, and remember to live in the moment.
